Important Update Regarding Chaplain Licensing Policy
Grace and peace to you.
We pray this message finds you well and steadfast in your calling. The Florida Theological Chaplaincy Academy, Inc. sincerely appreciates your continued service, commitment, and dedication to excellence in chaplaincy ministry.
Please be advised that, effective immediately, the Academy will no longer honor lifetime chaplain licenses. This decision has been made to maintain the highest standards of professional accountability, spiritual growth, and ministerial effectiveness within our organization.
Moving forward, all chaplain licenses will be subject to a biennial (every two years) renewal process. This updated structure ensures that all credentialed chaplains remain active, informed, and equipped to serve in today’s evolving ministry environments.
The renewal requirements are as follows:
- $150 Renewal Fee – Includes completion of 18 Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
- $175 Renewal Fee – Renewal without CEU Points
Chaplains who elect to complete CEUs will benefit from continued professional development, enhanced ministry skills, and updated training aligned with current chaplaincy standards.
We believe this transition will strengthen our chaplaincy's integrity and credibility and support your ongoing growth and effectiveness in ministry. Further details regarding the renewal process, deadlines, and CEU opportunities will be provided in subsequent communications.
Should you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and faithful service.
Sincerely,
Chancellor Dr. Amena Threets
